Information About Returns


HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Gifts purchased beginning 10/14/2024 are eligible for return or exchange (full price merchandise only) through 1/5/2025. Please see below for our full return policy.


RETURN POLICY: 


Purchases are eligible for return/exchange within 30 days of the receipt of purchase. Refunds will be made to the original form of payment. Returns are accepted on full priced merchandise purchased at southmoonunder.com provided that the items are unworn, unwashed, unused and have the original tickets attached. See full return policy below for details. South Moon Under monitors account activity and reserves the right to refuse transactions, assess fees, and/or close accounts based on order or returns behavior. Please note, as of October 6th, 2023 ALL Sale Merchandise ending in both .97 & .99 will be considered Final Sale.

  • Sale, Clearance, BOGO, or any items marked $.97 or $.99 are Final Sale and not eligible for return or exchange; these products will not receive credit if returned, they will be donated to a local charity. Items are marked as final sale at the time of the purchase; this information may be found on the product and cart pages.
  • E-gift cards are not eligible for refund.
  • Purchases made with a Gift Card cannot be refunded to a Credit Card.
  • Swimwear, full and sale priced, is returnable provided that the items are unworn, unwashed, unused and have the original tickets and hygienic shield attached. Any swimwear returned not in sellable condition and without the original tickets and hygienic shield attached will not receive credit. 
  • Footwear must include the original shoe box in its original condition, without shipping labels. Shoe box fees are charged when footwear is returned in a damaged shoe box or without the original shoe box.
  • The website will not accept items purchased at South Moon Under stores in our internet returns center. Please return your items to the South Moon Under stores closest to your home.
  • Worn or used items may be returned due to manufacturing defect only, for repair or replacement per manufacturer's instructions. If the item cannot be replaced or repaired, a refund will be issued based on the original method of tender or store credit with valid receipt, at the discretion of South Moon Under. Normal wear and tear and failure to follow manufacturer's laundering instructions are not considered a manufacturing defect. No returns after 3 months unless manufacturer offers a longer warranty.
  • Our Outlet location will not process e-commerce returns/exchanges.
  • Any items returned to our returns center after the 30 day return window will not receive refund/credit but, will be donated to a local charity. 

HOW TO RETURN:

To start the return process, please visit our Order Status page located at the bottom of our webpage.

Once requested please securely pack your item(s), with the original tags attached, include the RMA, and send using the pre-paid shipping label provided. Please make sure to retain your return tracking information for your records.

Please Note: When making a return to our online store, a $8.95 processing fee will be deducted from your final refund amount for every label used. If you have to return items that were shipped from multiple locations you can return them using 1 package, 1 label, therefore only being charged $8.95 one time. Once your return has been initiated you will have 28 days to ship your items before your label expires. Please allow up to 7 business days for your return to be processed once it has been received at our internet returns center. Shipping charges are not eligible for refund.


VISA/MC/AMEX/ GIFT CARD RETURNS:

Please be certain to retain the original gift card in case you need to make a return. All refunds are made to the original form of payment.

EXCHANGES


Need to exchange? Please note, exchanges must be done within 14 days of the receipt of purchase. No problem - we've got you covered! Start off by placing a new order at southmoonunder.com. After placing the new order online, please contact a member of our customer service team with the original order number and the new order number by email at service@southmoonunder.com, so that we can make any necessary adjustments to the new order. Please note that South Moon Under is not responsible for refunding shipping/return costs.  Once the original item(s) has been received in our warehouse a return will be processed and we will notify you by email. You can also visit one of our store locations to exchange your item(s).


DEFECTIVE or INCORRECT ITEM:

If you have received a defective item or an incorrect item/size purchased through our online store, please contact our customer service team by email at service@southmoonunder.com within 3 business days of delivery. Please include your first and last name, order number, item name, and photo of the defect in the email.

  • Please note if you contact us outside of the 3-business day window the item may not qualify for replacement or return.
  • We are not responsible for damages to clothing or accessories caused by improper care or incorrect sizing.
  • The exact colors of merchandise may vary due to photography lenses, indoor/outdoor lighting, and computer/phone monitor resolutions. Clothing patterns may also vary. These situations do not qualify as defects.
